Again, welcome parents! 
Even if you do not speak French you can help your student with French.  Just keep an open mind and seek out unique ways to encourage your student in his or her French studies.  See below for some tips and click on either French I or French II to find out more about your child's French class.

Tips for you and helping your student with French :

  • Encourage them to teach you or your other children new words they've learned.
  • Practice flashcards with your child.
  • Discourage use of online translators, using online dictionaries is fine but not a translator. 
  • Seek out cultural events that include French language or history.
  • Watch movies with French subtitles on or find a French movie to watch.
  • Cook a French meal like crêpes! «C'est delicieux !» It's delicious!

French Class Policies:

Late work:

Students may turn in assignments one day late for 75% of the credit they would have received or two days late for 50% credit.
 

Retake policy:

Students may retake two major assessments each semester. 
 

Students may retake quizzes within one week.
