French I

French I goals: The goal for French I is for students to become highly adept at present tense communication.  By the end of the year they will have knowledge of hundreds of vocabulary words and be able to communicate with others on subjects such as introductions (themselves and others), describing friends, homes, schools, cities and interests as well as talking about food that they enjoy.  Students are expected to be very capable present tense communicators and also recognize some different past and future tenses.

French II

French II Goals: In French II our goals are to become successful communicators in past, present and some future tenses; however we will focus on improving present and past tense.  Students are expected to improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing French skills.  We will do this through extensive study of vocabulary, many speaking projects (individually and corporately) as well as, of course, tests and quizzes. Students can expect to receive no lower than a C if they come to class prepared, ready to learn and work reasonably hard.
